Armand Duplantis has once again rewritten the record books.
Just 20 days after setting a new pole vault record at the Paris Olympics, the Swedish athlete surpassed his own mark at the Diamond League event in Silesia, Poland, on Sunday. Known as “Mondo,” Duplantis soared to a height of 6.26 meters, exceeding his previous record of 6.25 meters set on August 5, which earned him Olympic gold.
With this latest achievement, Duplantis has now broken the world pole vault record 11 times. His impressive performance streak continues, having clinched gold at the last three World Championships in addition to his Olympic victory.
